THE NEED is great!!!!
- UNICEF estimates 130 – 143 million orphans worldwide
- U.S. statistics indicate 800,000 children in foster care
- Approximately 15,000 children in Georgia foster care
- If 1 in 6 Christians responded to the call of the orphan we would eradicate the orphan crisis
- If only 1% of the Christians in America made a choice to adopt 1 child there would be no more children waiting to be adopted in the U.S foster care system, and a million orphaned children from other countries would have a forever family
- There are 5 entire church congregations in Georgia for every foster child
- There are 449 people who claim to be Christians for every foster child in the United States
If we as Christians don’t give these “least and lost” the Gospel in both word and action, they may never know it and risk growing up to repeat the cycles of destruction from which they came.
